ECLECTIC CATERING
With limited time to eat and then perform, the Orkney Blide Trust people under Sandra Tait rose to the occasion under difficult circumstances and provided the 100 strong Glasgow Phoenix Choir with a more than ample fresh, boxed main course salad lunch with a Fruit Salad or Trifle, followed by Tea or Coffee and Shortbread in no time at all. When we next return to Orkney – they are our Picnic Suppliers of Choice!”
We couldn’t put it better ourselves! In order that our members can learn new skills and develop a strong work ethic, we provide catering for external events. We offer a personalised service that can be adapted to your needs. We have a variety of buffet options and can also arrange for a lighter option e.g. soup and sandwiches. If you are looking for catering for an event, our price list and order form can be found in the right hand menu. You can also call us on 01856 874 874 and ask for one of our caterers.
Our social enterprise helps break down barriers to employment for our members living with mental ill health. It also allows us to give people paid work experience through our Transitional Employment Placement schemes. Members can apply for posts in the catering team and are paid the Living Wage Foundation's rate of pay, which is above the national minimum wage. Eclectic Catering and Café @ No. 65 raise much needed money that is fed back into the Blide's services.
